November 2001/Kislev 5762 Volume 14
Last year was an interesting year, the Olympics from Sydney,
Australia, the US Presidential elections, and with all the excitement some very
important family events were omitted from these pages. That is corrected below.
Many of you have written how much you enjoy the pages from
history, and of the many memories brought back. I will try to find more this year.
If anyone's child needs help with a school
project regarding the family tree, you know whom to call.
This website is just one of many that the members of our family
have started. The ones I know about are listed below.
http://www.jimmy@cohrssen.com/
Jimmy Cohrssen, photographer.
http://www.operaforeveryone.com
Ira Ross, it's self-explanatory.
http://www.newday.com/films/Nana_Mom_and_Me.html
Amalie Rothschild's site about a film she produced.
http://spigel.com is the Adam Spigel website, where he has a wonderful
picture album.
www.annapolis-real-estate.com
and www.montgomerycollege.com
Tom Rose, see what's happening in Annapolis.
It is Joshua Kahn at University of Washington, not Tobey. But
Tobey is still a great archery champion and training for some future Olympics.
An appeal from some cousins who live in
Israel and a request: "WE ARE A SMALL PART OF OUR GREAT FAMILY
WHO IS LIVING IN ISRAEL AND WE ARE VERY PROUD OF IT.
WE DO INVITE OUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO COME FOR VISITS AND HOLIDAYS HERE,
IN ISRAEL, AND WHEN YOU ARE HERE SAY HELLO TO US! OUR FAMILY CONNECTIONS ARE: MY
MOTHER-BEATRICE -BEATE MANN (DEUTCHER), MY 2 UNCLES: ALBERT ASKENAZY AND ERNEST DEAN.
WE ARE NOW, STILL,IN A PROCESS OF CLAIMING RESTITUTION FOR VARIOUS
LOSSES OF OUR FAMILY. WE WOULD BE GREATFUL, IF ANY FAMILY MEMBER COULD ASSIST US IN GIVING
US INFORMATION WHICH WOULD HELP US TO DO SO SUCCESFULY. WE WISH TO KNOW: IF THERE ARE
PEOPLE, IN THE FAMILY, WHICH HAVE SIMILAR EXPERIENCES IN PLACING RESTITUTION CLAIMS FOR
VARIOUS LOOSES AGAINST GERMANY ALSO IF THERE IS GOOD EXPERIENCE AND SUCCESS WITH A GOOD
ATTORNEY OR LEGAL ASSISTANCE? WE WILL BE THANKFUL FOR ANY GOOD ADVICE AND
ASSISTANCE." Anat Chen [Ed. any one?]

"It was wonderful to have them all together." Ann Silverman visited Fran in

Gene Weinstein (Marilyn Back's other half) has a
nephew who is good friends with one of the Langsdorfs in St. Louis. I guess it's not that
far from Little Rock.
As luck would have it, Sam and Joan Rimmon cruised around the
bottom of the world. We had the wonderful opportunity to meet Lisa Freudenthal Oppenheimer
